TRAINING SESSION - Certified Prescribed Burn Manager School

The North Central Texas Prescribed Burn Association — in conjunction with Texas Agrilife Research — organized and conducted a Certified Prescribed Burn Manager School at the Graham Arena in Graham, TX on June 23 through June 26. Topics covered included fire weather, fire prescriptions, planning a prescribed burn, fuels & fuel moisture, fire behavior, laws & regulations, and the history of fire.
Weather conditions during the course did not allow a prescribed burn to be conducted as part of the training.
Of the 21 people in attendance, 13 were NCTPBA members. Those successfully completing this course will have met the educational requirements of a Certified Prescribed Burn Manager.
